Hey guys........

has anyone tried this Capoeira App for the iPhone? I saw that it came out yesterday. I have tried another one that wasn't so good but this looks a lot better.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/capoeira-vibe/id531739918?mt=8

I wanted to know if anyone had bought it and their thoughts? If not I will happily buy and tell all you guys!

Cheers K*

Do remember, brasilien culture is socially oriented. Taking a class with a real human being will teach you lessons on how to interact with people of other backgrounds. A phone will not offer those experiences.

I recommend you to participate in an all day capoeira workshop hosted by recognised mestres. O yes, and see how you are abused and learn "disipline"" in third world standard.

Hey!

Thanks for the response! I am fully aware that you NEED to train with other people. I think it even says that on the apps website.

But your answer doesnt actually help me!! have been training for a few years but your answer doesn't help me! I have bought and read a few books (Nestor Capoeira, Mestre Acordeon, Mestre Poncianinho, some dude from norway) and watched many youtube clips... i just thought it is part of the study? And would be cool to look at a few vidoes when on the way to work!

I would be interested in what other people here thought!!

Please let us know how you like the app.  I'm kind of an iphone 4 geek myself and I love apps.

I actually like it a lot!

Its fully video with slow motion and you voice over and text in English and Portuguese. I want to use it to try and improve my portuguese which is really bad!

the downside is that it costs money! But to be fair not that much and less than one class here in England. Money goes to charity too so you can feel good about yourself!

I do agree that you can't learn capoeira from a video but the app doesn't hurt in any way ...
