Hi guys, I live in Rome and I have practised capoeira for a year and a half here. Now I'm moving for some months in London and (hoping to have the time and money to do it) I would like to continue my training there. What grupos or gym do you suggest? I think I am going to search a room to share n the area of camden-kentish town-holloway road, or bethnal green-shoreditch, mostly east area of travel card zone 2, so, something in that area could be nice, but anyway I could end up in a totally different borough, who knows, so other suggestions are equally welcome!

Thanks!

what style do you practice? there are tons of groups in london. The second article on the page gives you a bit an outline and links to some of the groups http://urbanritual-london.blogspot.com/ Theres `urban ritual' an open angola roda in east london the first sunday of every month, lot of good players go there. Mestre Fantasma who organises it, an other mestres and teachers who are involved in running it are welcoming, an (as far a I've seen) happy for anyone to play whatever their style.

Hi lennon!

I think my grupo does a kind of contemporary capoeira, i would say that it is mainly regional. However, now and then, we do some angola style training to understand other visions of capoeira. Thanks for the helpful link! I'm going to check the sites of the different groups, hoping to find the right solution for me in this  little british adventure. And maybe if I manage to train it would be nice to join an open roda, do you usually attend it?
