So after having purchased my first set of capoeira gear, I'm realizing that I need to update my underwear a bit. Not that the pants are really *see-through*, but they are white and all.

Any advice for undies that don't ride up/down, are comfortable to move in, and don't look embarrassing? What cuts do you all wear?

My GF has done capoeira for awhile and for her its all Thong, always.
No im serious, anything else and those lines are going to show through the Pants, and well, in HER opinion that is embarrasing.

I go for white or beige underwear, full coverage. I find that Elle Macpherson and Bendon brands stay where they're supposed to but that may just be my body shape.

Most of the ladies in my group just wear whatever underwear they want to, pink g-string (thong) etc. We don't really care so much about see through, it's just whatever is comfortable.

Oh, Lord release me from the Thong. ;o( If you have any butt at all a thong is murder on the cheeks. A simple robust ginga feels like you are flossing down there.

Barely There bikini cut in beige.

haha...I totally agree about a thong feeling like you're flossing "down there." Other people have recommended it to me, and .... yeah.

I'll give the other recommendations a try, thanks! Some of my friends also recommended seamless boyshort undies. I'll report back.

I ( and other wiley females) have actually used this tactic to our advantage in the roda. If you will excuse the expression, it gets the boys off the scent in the roda. Great preamble to a gentle takedown ;o)

If you think about getting embarrassed, think again. I even saw a girl with a yellow-gree-blue street abada and a purple underwear. So be comfortable :)

If there's a dancewear store nearby, see what they're selling from Capezio and Bloch and Danskin. Comfortable cuts that are made to go under tights and leotards, so they usually wear well. I've also got nice microfiber undies from Mountain Equipment Co-Op that I generally like for high-output activity (including but not limited to Capoeira!).
