Hello All,
My name is Contra Mestre Risadinha, I wanted to reach out to those people who love Capoeira and want to train and play but do not have an Instructor in your area.
I have my own group Capoeira Irmandade, I have been training Capoeira for over 17 years and teaching for 9 years. I just started my own group 2 years ago with the consent of my Mestre from Capoeira of San Jose. I am now under the new direction of Mestre Marcelo of Capoeira Mandinga as my mentor.
We host many workshops and trips together as a group to learn and share. I just got back from Brasil where I took my students to Salvador Bahia, the Birth Place of Capoeira.
We are looking to expand our family, and welcome people who love and want to learn Capoeira. If you are interested please take a look at our website www.capoeirairmandade.com to see our philosophy and who and what we are.
Please contact me if you want further information,

i live in baton rouge LA and we have no school i would love to learn capoeira [/quote1267629522] With all do respect Kass, a quick google search and you will find that Baton Rouge have a capoeira group and it have been in existence for almost 4 years. I don't mean to jack your thread CM, but Capoeira Angola Palmares Baton Rouge has classes 6 days a week taught by me, Pirata Negro, under the direction of Mestre Gulliver. Check out the Facebook group Capoeira Angola Palmares in Baton Rouge for locations, days, and times. Best wishes, Pirata |

Nice to know someone else from grupo Mandinga; i had the pleasure of having my nose broken by none other than Requebra from Mandinga Shangahai group lol I wanted to ask about your "expand our family" coz i live in Egypt and i realized that if I wanted to have a stable grupo de capoeira without the fear of the instructor losing interest or traveling, I (or a local) will have to teach its classes. My current plan is to train with Axe Capoeira turkey or Filhos de Bimba lebanon for 2-3 months a year till i'm experienced enough to teach. So tell me, what did you have in mind by "expanding our family" ? local or international ? Axe, A.F |

Axe, A.F First thank you for reaching out, my intentions are to grow my group and teach my philosophy about the way we do Capoeira. It's not a good thing to jump around school to school because you need roots and some Mestres look down at that and some don't. I am looking to expand locally and Internationally. My idea was to either have you come down to the US for a while and train, or put you in charge of the group where you are located and have me go out there to train, teach and hold events like batizados, workshops etc. You would be responsible for getting people to class, running the school and i will help you start up. Just get some people who are interested or trained before and we will do the rest.
If that sounds like something you would be interested please contact me by email j_bee33@yahoo.com

My personal advice: DON'T EVER TRAIN WITH AXE CAPOEIRA TURKEY. NEVER.
How do i know ? I live in Ankara/Turkey where the Turkey representatives of Axe Capoeira live, and i've known that some number of groups in Turkey don't like Axe Capoeira. If you really want to train in Turkey, i'd recommend you my group or quizumba capoeira group. |

Its probably one of the largest population centers left with no capoeira. This leads me to believe that it would be a perfect place for someone like yourself looking to expand. |
