The group Geração Capoeira was co-founded on 28. October 1989 by Mestre Lagartixa in Montes Claros in the state of Minas Gerais (Brazil).

The aim of the group is to teach and dispread Capoeira, in Brazil as well as in other countries.

Since 1994 Mestre Lagartixa has been teaching children, students at the universities (ASVZ) and adults in Switzerland, with a main focus in Zürich and Bern.

Additionally gives the group classes at the university (ASVZ), in Lucerne, Fribourg, Lausanne and Winterthur organises an international Capoeira meeting, Shows and Workshops every year.
