Description
So I'm supposed to give a description of myself, but since I don't know myself completely yet, I'm just giving random facts about me.
I'm 26 years old Puerto Rican girl.
I live in Puerto Rico.
I'm a law student and hope to become a good lawyer at the environmental law and animal rights field some day.
I'm a vegetarian hoping to become vegan. :)
I like meditation and mantras, specially the Gayatri Mantra.
I love to speak Portuguese.
My dream is to travel to Brazil, Egypt and India. I love Brazilian, Egyptian and Indian music and would like to learn and experience those cultures.
I practice capoeira since January 15, 2010 with group Capoeira Senzala Puerto Rico (Instructor Perna Longa under the supervision of Contra-Mestre Zumbi).
I was given my capoeirista name or "apelido"on April 27th, 2010 by Zumbi and on April 28th, 2010 I received my first berimbau (a Gunga).
My apelido is Alegria, which mean joy, happiness.
I'm overweight but very motivated and happy at every capoeira class.
I do what I can and try to get better and loose weight every month.
I hope I can become a good capoeirista some day too.
This summer, I'm traveling to Brazil to practice capoeira for 2 months with Contra-Mestre Zumbi at Uberaba, Minas Gerais and to participate in my group's Batizado there.
:)
